Book Design

This project was for my Typography 2 class, we designed the book “The Strange Case of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde”. While I was creating this book design I utilized the distressed typography technique we had previously learned, all while learning new skills including using baseline grids. We also went more in depth with character and paragraph styles, master pages, and different text formatting hacks. I thoroughly enjoyed this project, while it might seem daunting to set pages and pages of type in a book I found it cathartic. Something about making things all nice and organized just makes me happy so I really enjoyed this project. I also thought it was fun because my senior year in high school we did this as our high school musical.
