Anxiety
As a person who has anxiety, it is very hard to explain how it feels to someone who doesn’t experience anxiety. Small comments made to a person who has anxiety, harmful intent or not, can seriously injure their self respect and self esteem. This short film was inspired by myself and some family members of mine who go through this on the daily. I really just wanted to capture how a person who think they might be helping in their mind, could be doing some serious damage to the person instead. You never know what is going on in someone’s head, truth is, they are probably harder on themselves than anyone else in the world.
This was an especially hard project to create just because this was created during Covid-19. Class was online mostly for this course except when we were learning how to use some equipment provided by DMACC. I think in total we had maybe 7-8 in person classes to learn as much as we could with our equipment. Not only was it hard to learn everything having no experience before this with script writing to operating cameras and sound equipment, it was hard trying to find people to act in this film so I want to thank my friends and my mom for helping me out.
